Example Form and Grain Size Accumulation Curve

The following page illustrates a hydrometer test and its associated grain size accumulation curve. The curve illustrates the percent passing on grain sizes small than the 1 mm size. This range on percent passing is limited as well by the sample's particle distribution. A complete grain size accumulation curve is included at the end of this chapter showing sizes up to 10mm and 100 % passing.
